Carnaval Maine’s inaugural three-day festival took place on Portland’s Eastern Promenade January 30 through February 2, 2020, with a mission of delivering meaningful and measurable economic, community and charitable impact.
As Beneficiary, WinterKids Was Thrilled to Receive $25,000.
We were proud to have been named the Carnaval Maine beneficiary with proceeds from ticket sales and special events and thrilled to have received $25,000, through ticket sales. “No words can express our appreciation of the $25,000 gift we received as Carnaval Maine beneficiary. We are grateful to Carnaval Maine and their Presenting Partners such as the Maine Office of Tourism, Norway Savings Bank, L.L.Bean and all the other sponsors for their generosity,” said Julie Mulkern, Executive Director of WinterKids.
It’s estimated that over 10,000 people attended this year’s inaugural festival to enjoy events that included the Maine Bicentennial Snow Ball and Bites & Brews under a 350+ person inflatable igloo, Sunday River learn to ski and USASA Rail Jam, Maine Beer Box, Illumination by Norway Savings Bank, food truck village, live performances and mascot appearances including special guest Bonhomme from Carnaval de Quebec.
