South Portland Middle School students have spent the winter learning to XC Ski through an incredible after-school program with Mr. Lunt (@mrluntsclass)!
During the summer of 2023, their program won a WinterKids Downhill 24 Outdoor Fund grant in time for the winter 2023/24 season, allowing them to expand the gear available to students and, thus, the number of kids participating. We’re so proud to have played a part in supporting the incredible work Mr. Lunt is doing! 👏👏👏
The Downhill 24 Outdoor Fund addresses barriers to healthy outdoor activity, including equipment, clothing, and transportation. By community vote, Mr. Lunt’s South Portland Middle School after-school program won our top grant for Maine Public Schools.
