Become a WinterKids Volunteer Ambassador

WinterKids is seeking enthusiastic and connected community members from every Maine county to serve as WinterKids Ambassadors, trusted voices who help us reach more families, build brand awareness, and strengthen our fundraising efforts.

WinterKids Ambassadors are champions of our mission to help children develop healthy lifelong habits through education and fun, outdoor winter activity. As a WinterKids Ambassador, you’ll play a vital role in spreading the word about WinterKids programs, events, and opportunities through social media, word-of-mouth, and local networks.

Whether it’s sharing personal stories, showing up at local events, or helping connect us with new schools and families, Ambassadors are key to growing awareness, deepening community connections, and inspiring more families and educators to get outside and embrace winter.

About WinterKids

WinterKids is a Maine based non-profit organization helping children develop healthy lifelong habits through education and fun outdoor winter activity. Our vision is that every child grows up with access to outdoor winter play and education in Maine, fostering lifelong learning, health, resilience, and a deep connection to nature, outdoor recreation, and the state.

Ambassador Responsibilities:

• Share WinterKids content, events, programming, and fundraising campaigns on social media, within networks, and through community publications
• Represent WinterKids at select local events
• Organize or promote community events to increase brand awareness
• Distribute winter gear and educational activities as needed
• Gather feedback and ideas from your community
• Help us connect with new schools, families, and community partners
• Advocate for the WinterKids mission, and share the importance of outdoor play and winter wellness
