Photography and Video Notice
WinterKids Welcome to Winter
WinterKids and our community partners will be taking photographs and videos throughout the Welcome to Winter event. These images help us celebrate and share the joy of outdoor winter play, document community engagement, and promote our mission of helping children develop healthy lifelong habits through outdoor activity.
Image Use and Rights
By attending the event, you grant WinterKids and its designated partners the perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to record, use, reproduce, distribute, display, publish, and create derivative works from photographs, video, or audio recordings taken at the event. These materials may be used in any media or format—now known or later developed—including print, broadcast, online, and social media platforms, without additional consent, approval, or compensation.
WinterKids and its partners may use these materials for promotional, educational, and archival purposes that support our mission, including but not limited to publicity, fundraising, marketing, and reporting to stakeholders.
Public Event and Consent
This is a public, open event with no formal registration. Attendance at the event constitutes acknowledgment and agreement to the terms above regarding the capture and use of images and recordings in which you or your child may appear.
Opt-Out Option
If you prefer that you, or the children with you not be photographed or recorded, please collect and wear a “No Photos Please” badge, available at the Welcome Table.
WinterKids staff, professional photographers, and partner organizations are instructed to respect this opt-out indicator and will make every effort to exclude participants wearing the sticker from photographs or recordings.
Privacy and Data Protection
WinterKids does not collect or store personal identifying information (such as names or contact details) through photography or video unless explicit written consent is provided. Images will only be used in the context of WinterKids’ mission and in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.
