❉ Why is This Event so Special? ❉
❉ Participation Makes a Difference: Funds raised through the Downhill 24 provide kids and families with the tools and resources they need to stay active outdoors all winter long.
❉ Statewide Reach: WinterKids programs support over 50,000 participants across all 16 counties in Maine.
❉ For the Kids, By the Kids: This year’s focus on “kids helping kids” inspires participants of all ages to work together for a common goal: ensuring that winter fun and outdoor activities are accessible to everyone.
❉ EVENT BENEFICIARIES ❉
As the 2025 Downhill 24 beneficiary, Sugarloaf Ski Club received a $10,000 grant plus half the money they raised through their participation in the event.
These kids didn’t just receive beneficiary funds—they dominated the competition and took home the coveted Kids’ Cup! Their combined fundraising efforts, race arena performance, inflatable obstacle course, and time on the mountain earned them the top spot.
Together, they raised an incredible $30,810! Leading the way was their team captain, J.J. Sevigny, who not only spearheaded the fundraising efforts but also earned the title of Top Youth Fundraiser by raising an impressive $11,365 on his own!
