KIDS, TEACHERS, AND FAMILIES SERVED IN MAINE & NEW HAMPSHIRE
FAMILIES
GET OUTSIDE! GET ACTIVE! HAVE FUN!
Our second year with our native, mobile app – The WinterKids App – saw over 5,300 users across Maine and New Hampshire. We added several new offers from NH rec areas and continue to find more ways children can stay active in the winter.
THANK YOU to our partners!
SCHOOLS
MOVE! LEARN! EXPLORE!
Two elementary schools in each of Maine’s 16 counties competed in a four-week outdoor physical activity and nutrition challenge during the month of January 2020 for cash prizes, equipment, and more.
The WinterKids Winter Games inspired 7,332 students and 1,113 teachers and staff from every county in Maine to go for the gold in 2020!
COMMUNITY
MORE KIDS ON NORDIC SKIS!
SERVED IN PORTLAND & OXFORD

Many thanks to the Killington Foundation and Peisner Fund for their continued support of WinterKids’ Nordic programs!

FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN 30TH ANNIVERSARY
Over 200 guests joined WinterKids at 3S ArtSpace in Portsmouth, NH for Fire on the Mountain’s 30thanniversary party. Our first-ever NH fundraiser, this fun evening of live music with a raffle and a silent auction raised $6,000 for WinterKids programs. Thank you, Fire on the Mountain Ski Shop!
VOLUNTEERS
This season, 81 different volunteers put in over 700 hours of work supporting WinterKids.
How can you pass up an opportunity to ski at night at the Loaf??! There is something magical about the mountain at night with all the lights on the trails! Even more, it is so inspirational to see all of those who have skied all night! Put this on your bucket list and help by volunteering at WinterKids!
